How to Download from Twitch

Find Your VOD or Stream

Navigate to any Twitch VOD (past broadcast) or live stream you want to download.

💡Works with both subscriber-only and public VODs if you have access!

Copy the URL

Copy the full URL from your browser address bar. It should look like: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1234567890 or https://www.twitch.tv/channelname

Paste into GOVOD

Go to GOVOD homepage and paste the URL into the input field. Click "Get Video" to fetch metadata.

Select Quality & Format

Choose your preferred quality (720p for free, 1080p/Source for Premium) and format (MP4, MP3, or WebM for Premium).

Download

Click the download button and wait for processing. Large VODs may take a few minutes.

Solution: Download speed depends on your internet connection and video size. Try selecting a lower quality or using Chunks mode for large files. Processing happens in your browser for privacy.

Video Not Found

Solution: Make sure the URL is correct and the video is publicly accessible. For Twitch subscriber-only content, you must have access. Private videos cannot be downloaded.

Solution: For very large videos (>4GB), use Chunks mode to split into smaller segments. Close other tabs to free up browser memory. Consider using a desktop browser instead of mobile.

Daily Download Limit Reached

Solution: Free users have a 3 downloads per day limit. Upgrade to Premium for unlimited downloads, or wait until midnight UTC for your limit to reset.

Chunks vs Single Mode:

Use Chunks for VODs over 2 hours to avoid browser memory issues. Single mode (Premium) downloads the entire file at once.

Best Quality Settings:

Source quality = original upload quality. 1080p = forced 1080p. For most VODs, Source is the best option.

Audio Extraction:

Select "Audio" quality to extract just the audio track as MP3. Perfect for podcasts or music!

Download History:

Browser Compatibility:

Chrome, Edge, and Firefox work best. Safari may have CORS issues - use a CORS extension if needed.
